We have recently acquired a number of new supermarkets in the Alvor area.
Auchan at Aqua Portimão is a go-to spot for everyday shopping in the city. Tucked inside the Aqua Shopping Center, it’s open from 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, so it’s super convenient whether you’re picking up a few things or doing a big shop. You’ll find everything here — fresh fruit and veg, fish, meats, baked goods, and plenty of household essentials. It’s also eco-friendly: there’s a machine where you can recycle plastic bottles and get vouchers to spend in-store or donate. All in all, it’s a practical, modern supermarket with a community-friendly touch.

Pingo Doce

Pingo Doce—which translates to “Sweet Drop” in English—is among Portugal’s prominent supermarket chains. Established in 1980, it has grown to operate several hundred stores across mainland Portugal, as well as the Azores and Madeira. Typically positioned second to Continente in size, Pingo Doce emphasises competitive prices and comprehensive product offerings—from fresh produce, bakery, and perishables to non-food items and in-store services like café, takeaway, and home delivery.
